Pure Drop is:

Jim McVeigh (Vocal, Guitar, Bodhran, Whistle), from Belfast (Northern Ireland), has been playing in Irish bands in Belfast, Dublin, London and Chicago since 1984. His band “Green Side Up” headlined events in tbe Milwaukee-Chicago for over ten years and appeared at the Milwaukee Irish Fest for many years. The Pure Drop is Jim’s latest band and mixes the great old Irish Pub Tunes with driving reels and jigs.

Chirps Smith, Fiddle, from Chicago, is one the best known fiddlers around. He has been playing since 1969 and has played ever major music festival from coast to coast. He plays tunes, write tunes and dances to tunes! A great entertainer in his own right and a walking museum of traditional music.

Paul Kaye, Mandolin & Fiddle, Chicago via New York, is best know as one of the premier blues guitarists in the Midwest. His not-so-best-kept secret is that he attended many of Chicago’s best Irish sessions over the years and has a huge repertory of tunes under his belt. He brings a great driving banjo sound and a sweet mandolin to the mix.
