Happy Samhain 🎃

Halloween owes its origins to the ancient Celtic pagan festival of Samhain (pronounced SAH-win). Held on the evening of Oct. 31 through November 1st, it marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. Samhain also marked the beginning of the Celtic new year.

Samhain was a time of transition and the thinning of the veil between the living and the spirit world, allowing spirits of the dead to visit the living. To cope with this, Celts lit bonfires, wore costumes to confuse spirits, and left out food to appease them.

So come out tonight, wear your costume, and enjoy some good spirits. FáS (Frank Quinn & Stefan Santiago) will be here to help ward off the bad spirits.
