Local Irish Restaurant Celebrates Chicago Craft Beer Week – MyChiNews.com
Congrats Chicago, we’ve survived yet another weird wave of cold fronts and have made it into the beloved summer season. Times where beach outings and lakeside walks are regularity and street fests don every village block throughout the length of three months.
In celebration we are able to treat ourselves to the kickoff to summer fests May Fest that starts this weekend May 15-17 at North Ashland Avenue at Barry. Also another great treat for us this summer is Chicago Craft Beer Week is hitting Chicago beginning this Thursday May 14 through May 24 celebrating all the goodness that beer has to offer in the Chicagoland area.
Different local pubs and breweries will be showcasing different bars on tap and made available to the general public. One of Chicago’s Irish restaurants in the North Center Mrs. Murphy & Sons is unveiling a new beer named, “Rua” which means red in Irish. The ale is an Irish red ale spiced with fresh ginger.
Fans of beer will be able to enjoy free tastings of Rua will be available at Mrs. Murphy & Sons from 5 p.m. on Friday May 22. The launch event will be an exclusive to Mrs. Murphy & Sons and a great way to start the summer right.
Cheers
